Siliceous Ooze

Siliceous ooze is one of many ocean sediments - oozes contain at least 30% skeletal remains of microscopic organisms, in this case organisms that compose their skeletons of silica. Using found fabric and printed block carvings of radiolaria and diatoms, I create fabric that can be draped in a multitude of forms and shapes in a cartoonish interpretation of the word “ooze”
